The simple cylindrical bottle and stopper inspired cap mimic the samples she loved when smelling the fragrance. She ripped off a piece of tape and wrote right on it “STASH SJP,” and so it was born. With added details, including the cord and an SJP emblem, this is a beautiful marriage of function and luxury, minimalism, and old-world design.

Stash is one of my top ten in my collection. I bought two different gift sets at Marshall’s years ago, so I’m set for a long time. I don’t usually like cedar but it works for me in Stash. I use the oil on my skin, and sometimes my hair as well. SJP Covet is also in my top ten, but it’s much weirder. Haven’t tried Stash Unspoken, and have a bottles of Lovely and Covet Pure Bloom that I plan to give away, not “me”. I do have Adam Levine for Her – good! And have little bottles of the Queen Latifah perfumes. Pharrell Girl and Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga (don’t even remember what it smells like!) round out my “celebrity” offerings. Does this mean that the original Stash was bit of a flop? This is what normally happens with celebrity fragrances that are more experimental and don't sell well - they release a more crowd pleasing scent n the same bottle with a more crowd pleasing colour. Remember Covet that was swiftly followed by Covet Bloom?" Also I fail to see what is unflattering about that photo. Her skin is amazing, I can only hope to age as gracefully as her.

As I’ve written before, I developed a strange liking for the original Stash SJPwhen it came out — strange, because it really is not my usual vibe. I didn’t like it much when I first tried it in store, but I sprayed some on a paper slip on a later visit to Ulta, and took that home. Lo and behold, every time I found myself sniffing the air, thinking “what is that alluring scent?”, it was the slip with Stashon it. And this went on for a week! At the end of that week, I caved and went and bought one of the gift sets Ulta had on sale. I love that my random remark has given you a way to use your oil. A couple of fragrant oil drops in the bath really change the whole experience for me too. My current favourite is a vintage Caron Bellodgia. It’s only 15 ml but with judicious drops I’ve eked it out over years and it’s still half full. Any more than a drop or two and it’s overwhelming. Stash SJP Privé is a composition intended for women, which reportedly interprets seduction and feminine charm through deep floral motifs, juicy fruits and oriental tones. Pink pepper is mixed with citruses and fruity tones of quince at the top leading to a floral heart of orange blossom and a woody-musky base. It is described as intoxicating, both classical and modern, a timeless symbol of grace, luxury and passion. Unfortunately, that aggressive, high contrast "beauty" lighting and noticeable retouching undermine the self-affirming confidence of her brand. Going forward, a gentler hand in these departments would serve her better.

LA2000 -What other attributes which make her beautiful could be shown in a photograph when all of that is something a camera cannot capture?? Do you people think at all before commenting or is everyone a philosopher now? I am annoyed that you felt the need to comment. Well, Kevin, I see there’s one thing you have in common with SJP: she sprays “a lot of freakin’ fragrance on.” 🙂 You’ve reminded me: I have Pharrell Girl and Eau de Gaga in my hoard, but haven’t opened and tried them yet. I have and like Covet; you’re right, it is weird. Sometimes it’s just what I want, though! Oh dear. You lost me at 'pink pepper', but grapefruit and quince don't sound any more unique or memorable! Anyway, I am charmed by her unimitable and sophysticated taste in mixing aromatics and romantic and seductive notes in her frags, not even having a signle chill that her line would be neglected by the feminine public...Love SJP and I trust her fragrance nose more than any other celeb and most designers. I let a lot of her other fragrances get away, and now I yearn for them all. I am sure I will be getting this one. In the meantime, is is not shy of staying that recognizably girlish and pure and romantic as she was in her youth. This is what the name STASH is all about.
