There are pros and cons to this design - whilst it feels less invasive in the short term, it can cause fatigue due to the pressure you're placing on your concha. The pressure builds up around the edges of the seal, and I found after a few hours I needed to remove the buds and give my ears a rest. I also found going up a size to the largest (right ear) and medium (left ear) tips for my odd-sized canals benefited both comfort and ANC.
Please make sure both earbuds pair with each other, then connect to you phone first. After the earbuds connected to your phone, then please open the app to connect earbuds. Comparing this to the competition, it falls some way short of something like the more expensive Soundcore Space A40, which does support fast charging and gives you around an hour extra across all of those different modes. By the same token, compared with the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2, longevity is much better, offering around 30-45 additional minutes. The Mini Pro use a dual-mic array, and as per the comments in the ANC section, this is the de facto with button shaped earbuds, and as such puts them at a disadvantage to some stem-based buds, which can use two of the three mics per bud to balance the audio delivered to the voice mic, but also have the advantage of positioning the voice mic closer to your mouth. Featured with 10mm bio-diaphragm drivers and aptX-Adaptive decoding technology, Mini Pro automatically recognizes different scenes and determines the best operating mode (low-latency mode, high-bit rate mode, low-bit rate mode) to restore every detail of the sound. Battery life on the Mini Pro is a big step up from the original from a single use perspective. With ANC off, I would regularly get over the 7 hours advertised on both IOS and Android. However, with ANC on it’s a different story – if you’re taking a lot of calls, it’s possible to drop as low as 4-4.5 hours. Now this is still pretty good as far as ANC buds go, but make sure you read the print, and use ANC when you need it – it’s easy enough to toggle on and off, so don’t waste battery unnecessarily.The Mini Pro HS also features active noise cancellation that works well, and the call quality is decent enough. The battery life is decent too but takes a hit when using LDAC, which can impact battery life. With the Spinfit CP1025 tips, I found extreme high frequencies levelled off, but high mids can sound a bit 'echoey' where they’ve tried to circumvent the form factor limitations. This is especially noticeable with 'atmospheric' music styles - 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' by Tears For Fears being a prime example. The same song, however, sounds very different with the Tanchjim tips, where less space is created between your ear canal and the source, bringing a warmer sound. Either way, detail is impressive for the price point and clarity is crisp and clean. When it comes to details, the Mini Pro covers the basic well. Vocals, both male and female, form the center-part of the music and often come straight in front of you, while instruments like drums can flank you slightly on your left and right. There's decent separation between instruments.
The Mini Pro has the most natural presentation of treble on all SoundPEATS models. That says something after the countless earphones the brand released - including the much-praised SoundPEATS H1. Price, sound & listening time are all on point to what is advertised.. I've been looking to buy a pair of earbuds. I was going to buy JBL.. The reasoning behind the jbl is because I already have headphones (over the ear) that are wonderful.. I had these headphones for about 4-5 years.. I've NEVER had a problem with them and are durable.. So why not buy the earbuds? Here is why I didn't go with the JBL.. I wanted something different 2ndly I wasn't sure about the sound 3rdly I didn't see any updated earbuds.. The Mini Pro use the Qualcomm QCC3040 chipset, promoting the use of the aptX-adaptive codec, but they also support aptX, AAC and SBC. On Android, it defaulted immediately to aptX-adaptive, and on iOS, I assume, AAC. Of course, you will have sounds closer by more often. In this case, static and regular sounds like electronic humming are filtered out nicely; brighter and irregular sounds like chatter, water splashing, or a radio are reduced but still audible. Mind you: they're a lot less audible than on many cheaper and more expensive ANC earbuds. ANC off, SBC, occasional call & gaming mode, 50% volume - just under 7.5 hours playtime (advertised 8)
Next to the comfort and Active Noise Cancelling, the SoundPEATS Mini Pro also has something to tell in the sound department. The Mini Pro HS produces an abundance of bass, enough to satisfy even the most ardent bassheads. It’s also of good quality, powerful and controlled. However, if you prefer a more neutral bass, you can customize it to your preference via the SoundPEATS phone app. Again, it is pretty good considering the form factor and other constraints – good enough for most, but don’t choose purely on the basis of call performance.The short nozzle but steep gradient, combined with fairly lightweight footprint of 4.7g ensures a stable fit. I tried with two different sets of tips, and both styles fit the ear very comfortably. The ambient mode works better than many earbuds in this class, giving you a good sense of your surroundings while still sounding quite natural. Call, Video and Game Performance
