From 1990 until 1992, Yolanda Kakabadse coordinated the participation of civil society organizations for the United Nations Conference for Environment and Development (Earth Summit). Only through a win-win collaboration among the national government, subnational and non-state actors and citizens, Vietnam can create prosperity while urgently reducing its greenhouse gas emissions.
Neville Isdell is the former chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company where he worked for 43 years. Neville took the world’s largest beverage company to new heights during his tenure. He expanded on the company’s proud legacy of corporate responsibility by embedding sustainability throughout every facet of the organization and helping ensure its role as a community-connected twenty-first century enterprise. The WWF’s panda symbol soon became a registered trademark and it’s currently subject to international intellectual property laws. Additionally, the acronym “WWF” is also a registered trademark and should not be used to endorse of promote any products or services in any way, shape or form. This “WWF” trademark soon led to a famous legal battle against an unlikely opponent. The World Wrestling Federation (now operating under the name World Wrestling Entertainment) utilized the letters “ WWF” for their marketing material and general advertisement. As the World Wrestling Federation had no legal claim to the “WWF” trademark, they had to re-brand themselves as the “WWE” (World Wrestling Entertainment), leading to a victory for the World Wildlife Fund(it should be noted that they obtained a considerable monetary compensation from this wrestling entertainment organization). The obligation on developed states to share knowledge and technologies, and to build capacity across countries will facilitate a more equitable participation in the conservation of the high seas, in particular for developing nations.
In 2002, a court ruled that the wrestling company was in breach of said agreement, thus was born the WWE. McMahon handled this transition smoothly, as ever since the WCW became a serious competitor, McMahon had been adamant that he wasn’t in the “wrasslin” business, but in the “entertainment” business. In February 2009 he was appointed to the Committee for Development Policy by the United Nations Secretary General, and in 2010 he was awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence), one of Pakistan’s highest civil awards by the President of Pakistan. The shirt is a nod to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which underwent a name change to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2002 due to a legal dispute with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The wrestling panda on the shirt was never informed of this name change, and continues to proudly represent the WWF.
