The only down thing,we would have love if there were lights and sounds functions on top,this would surely have been epic for the kids while playing.It would have make the toy more attractive and fun. He absolutely loved the movie and also loves spacecraft so this was a perfect combination. It was easy to unbox and good quality material, not cheap like some plastic can be. Easy to use and very robust which I need for a busy 5 year old who throws and drops things. It is great for imaginative play and he has spent hours playing out battles and scenarios. His older sisters have also had a play and enjoyed massively. It’s a good size and easy to store. I don’t really have any faults at all with it. A lovely toy. Space Rangers-in-training can help Buzz Lightyear reach hyperspeed by “launching” and “flying” the XL-14 spaceship from the Star Command tower. I will say though the roof doors were a bit flimsy and did fall off numerous times despite pushing them all together properly.
Need more power? Kids can send Buzz Lightyear up the elevator and across the extendable catwalk where they can attach extra engines and a fuel cell to the ship. After a wee bit of building the starship was already to go. It was a bit fiddly to start with but once my kids got the hang of it they were good to leave to play.
