This is really good! It’s really sad, even now, reading about Daisy and the fact she might die! I agree with Tilly, maybe you can mention a bit more about Eliza. But the story is really great written! WOW-I love the cover; purple is my favourite colour. I can’t wait until Cream Buns And Crime is out; I’m going to try and buy it the day it comes out. It was the first day of the summer holidays and we were at Daisy’s Uncle Felix and Aunt Lucy’s flat in London. Daisy poured syrup on her pancakes so angrily that she didn’t notice it overflowing over the sides of her plate. Suddenly Bridget came in and said “Post! One for Mr M, two for Mrs M and, Oh, one for you Hazel.” She put it down in front of me and I knew the handwriting at once. From the look on Daisy’s face she did to. We stood up at the same time and ran to our room, breakfast forgotten. Laying face down on the bed I opened it. This is what it said: I looked at the girl. She looked at me. She was dirty and her clothes were torn, but I would know her anywhere. Daisy. We recognised each other at the same moment, and I could tell by the flash in her eyes that it wasn’t going to go well.

Hazel laughed and wiped a tear away. “I missed you too! But why are you here? I thought you decided to stay in Egypt with Amina!” Oh you painted the arguement so well! I feel so sorry for Daisy, but I have a feeling that the reason Daisy is being so harsh is becuase it was partly Hazels fault? I think I am going to make up an ending at random.

It’s a new month, Detectives – and that means we’re closer than ever to the release of Murder Most Unladylike 9. It’s publishing on the 6th August in the UK and Ireland ( 4th August in Australia and New Zealand, and later in the summer in other territories like South Africa). And this week … I’m finally going to be announcing its cover and title! I’ll be giving you a clue on Wednesday, and then posting the full cover in all its glory on Thursday – and to celebrate, I thought I’d give you a fanfiction challenge.

I forced a laugh in response to a terrible joke the concierge made and accepted the key to my room. Behind me, I heard a voice that reminded me of my best friend. But she couldn’t have been there! After she left Egypt, we wrote letters for a while, but slowly lost touch. She probably forgot about me, anyway. I forgot to say- I chose to do the same story from both Hazel’s and Daisy’s point of view, because I thought they’d definitely have different things to say about them seeing each other again. This is the first part of my story I hope you like it. I have done it very differently as they don’t go to Egypt at all and nether of them die! I just adored it. I will read this book again and again. It was so refreshing to find out more and have more time with these characters that wasn't through a novel format. So, as said, this book is the latest in the Murder Most Unladylike saga. First, I will explain what that saga actually is: It is about a club created by two girls. The club is a secret! Their aim is to help solve cases and find out who, if anyone at all, has committed a crime. I was thinking the same thing.” she replies, a sad look on her face. “We’ll still be the detective society, though, Watson!” Hi! I’m slightly unsure of what to write; I’m worried that writing my own MMU9 will ruin the actual thing for me, I’ll probably get confused when I read the real thing, thinking it is like my own story. How can I get round this problem? I always looking at some replies first because it helps me to think of what to write, I really enjoy reading them, thank you!

Isn’t it beautiful? So purple, so distinguished, so delicious. I am delighted, and I hope you are too! It’s by Nina Tara, who creates all of my covers. She’s amazing! Everyone thought the Breath of Life was a group of English ladies and gentlemen, who believe themselves to be reincarnations of the ancient pharaohs. Yes, are you with me? Well, when Theodora Miller was found dead, our thoughts were immediately turned to the Breath of Life. So, we did some searching, and, naturally, found out that the pharaohs are just a cover. Have you heard of the Belladonna girls?” Murder Most Unladylike is a series of YA murder mysteries. People who know me well will be aware that YA, next to action, is my utter least favourite genre of all time because in a lot of YA books, there is barely any character development and the whole thing is very neutral. As I fingered the Detective Society badge which was pinned proudly to my chest, I thought about Daisy, and every case we solved. Then, I realised, we hardly ever talked about anything but murder – not about ourselves or each other – just……..murder. I am constantly and wildly enthusiastic for the world of Hazel and Daisy and their Detective Society. This is a delightful book of 'extras', just the sort of book I have always loved - notes from the characters, short stories, a few recipes, and notes from the author, too. Glimpses behind the scenes, insides and outs, further reading lists and tips, historic inspiration as well as suggestions for practical mystery-solving and codework. This book - a collection of short mystery stories set in Hazel & Daisy's world, interspersed with short notes on mystery novels, real-life mysteries, detecting, and more, from the PoVs of various characters from the books - is just full of delight and joy. I love good mystery short stories - I've always loved Agatha Christie's short stories even more than her novels - and these are just deliciously clever, full of wit and character, heart and fun. I couldn’t figure out how I wanted the final mystery in Egypt to go, so I decided to write an epilogue! I thought it would be fun to see how Hazel and Daisy end up a couple years after the series ends, almost like something that could be at the end of the book.

Robin, this probably isn’t the right place to say this, but I’m not very sure where else to say it. I sent you a letter about 7 months ago, and I was just wondering if you had got it because if something happened to it I will send it again. I completely understand that you are very busy and these are very strange times and the arrival of the next murder most unladylike is a lot more important, I just wanted to let you know. Hi Robin! It’s all so exciting, I cannot wait for Cream buns and Crime to come out – I’m practically BUZZING! ? My friend Alma says that she’s got me something to with detecting for my birthday – so I’m buzzing about that too! Martha 😉 PS. This is the Martha that tweets you a lot ? Hear, hear!” Amina agrees, “You’re all such exellent detectives, and I’m so glad I was able to help.”Out of curiosity, not expecting anything, I turned around to look for the voice. And there she was- Hazel Wong. Our eyes met, and I’ll admit, my jaw did drop. Hazel looked half terrified and half thrilled; then, she ran to me, yelling, “Daisy!”
