Who knows how much life LEGO is going to get from the Movie sets… we got a few this year but there’s nothing else on the horizon. This set’s Emmet has wrapped his face and the Piece of Resistance in foil, which makes for a pretty bizare looking minifig head, and a pretty awesome silver brick.

The neat thing about the Coruscant Gunship is that the shooters are mounted under two black hinge plates with angled side extensions each, so what I did was I put the darts in backwards; now when I handle the gunship, I hit the hinge plates and not the dart, preventing them from flying off to the unknown depths of my Lego-filled bedroom, never to be seen again. There's more Classic Space appeal in bags six and seven, and I'm not talking just about the two more CS logo slopes. The first few pages of the instructions are for the detachable little ships on the wing, and at the end, an exciting “X2”. Her excellent hoodie piece comes in plain Blue too (Element ID 6078231 | Design ID 15853), which will be much more useful than her regular multicoloured one.The "foil-covered' PoR is made with a type of plastic that has a transparent/translucent base that caries a solid pigment rather than a dye-based one. For example, they mention it's a big hit, has great little details, and is a great set overall for kids.

Sifting through bags of parts to find the right one is something of a chore, compared to my sorted collection. There's one more element in this set that I really liked, though it's about as far from a "New Element" as you can get - the 2x4 brick in Bright Red. This product was not as advertised, the lego box was not in good condition, the pieces looked as the parts was taken apart and rebagged. It's a fairly unremarkable selection here, but you will be pleased to see that the Classic Space logo is indeed printed on the 2x4 slope. The big cockpit canopy can open to ninety degrees, revealing a spacious interior with seating for three, even allowing for hoodies, airtanks or pieces of resistance. Her usual hood has the "inside" printed with Bright Purple, and a single-color blue one might be more useful on other figs.The sticker sheet is just outstanding, as it also includes sticker versions of classic space computer screens and buttons. As soon as I saw the movie I wanted this set, good to know it seems to be a decent build (haven’t had a chance to build mine yet). The trans-yellow canopies are stickered to produce what I suppose is a Head-Up Display; note that the 82/28 printed display tile is mounted upside down in the '28' position, for no particular reason that I can fathom. I don't understand why people updating an original TLG theme like Space would use heads from licensed themes instead of the traditional yellow.
