Boatyard Double Gin (46% ABV) is an award-winning gin produced in County Fermanagh in North West of Ireland.

The Boatyard Distillery is the work of Joe McGirr (who previously worked at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society), Darren Rook (founder of the London Distillery Company) and Greg Dillon (from GreatDrams.We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. To make it, they age their excellent Boardyard Double Gin in bourbon barrels, then sweeten it with Fermanagh honey. The first award winning product to be released from The Boatyard Distillery, situated on the banks of the Lough Erne and created by founder Joe McGirr. The extraordinary freshness of the juniper is the result of the unique double distillation process used in the Boatyard Gin distillery. The ‘double’ in Boatyard Double Gin refers to their distillation process and a purist’s approach of placing juniper at both the start and end of the process.

This double contact method, which Dutch genever distillers would term ‘dubbel gebeide genever’, results in a more pronounced juniper flavour. The spirit has pure water added to it before it is rested for a minimum of two weeks and then bottled at 46% ABV. French Sauternes dessert wine has been added to the gin to bring a touch of natural sweetness to the final spirit. the % allocation of each botanical intrigues and encourages another sip to further test my tastebuds !
