About this deal

I hardly watch TV, to begin with (my 55″ Samsung is stuck in a corner) and all media consumed by me is usually projected on a Xiaomi DLP projector. Movies are much more interactive looking (seems like it extends the action of the tv outside frame of view). The product page is filled with amazing specs and support for 8K content and a 120Hz refresh rate, but there is one limitation that I found almost instantly. I feel like an official HDMI version* of ambient lighting could and should have been introduced by now. As the brightness and the resolution of the effects can be adjusted, you are likely to find the setting for you.

As Lytmi Fantasy 3 kit comes with ARC support, you don’t have to expose the box either to access control buttons. My tv is about 2~ft from the wall on my entertainment center on its stand, and I have no complaints about it. Again, it's a good and cheaper alternative but the camera which the system relies on is just no bueno.Review on fully functioning lights strip: I will say I was excited to receive this item in the hopes to upgrade the Neo Rope version that simply never could stay adhered to the backside of the tv. plugged into one of the wall receptacles) This does however mean that they won't work when watching something direct from the TV. I don't believe any of the kits from Lytmi support HDR10+, though they do support HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

The colours are matched well and the resolution (adjustable) translates the information from a movie into awesome spillover. CEC control can be hit and miss and the Lytmi would need to pass CEC control information from the AVR to TV as a pass-though device and there is no way of knowing whether it would work properly until you try it. Maybe it's just my box but the dark blue gets emitted more than any other color so I think it defaults to it. I got this for my LG C3 and tried it out by watching Across the Spiderverse using an Apple TV and it was amazing.Philips does have has patents related to Ambilight but I don't think they really can "own" taking video signal and using it to project light beyond the video screen?
