About this deal

Martin Miller’s is made at Langley Distillery, with the botanicals separated and distilled in two separate batches. The idea was revolutionary, but bon viveur and connoisseur Martin Miller was a traditionalist when it comes to gin, aiming to create a juniper-forward spirit, but one that was balanced too. Throughout the intervening period it gathered a host of golds and platinum’s from worldwide tasting panels and juries, but stubbornly remained a gin ‘for those in the know’. By distilling the citrus elements separately, a greater freshness is imparted to the citrus notes in the gin. Tuscan juniper, cassia bark, angelica root, Florentine orris root, coriander seeds, lime peel, lemon peel, orange peel, nutmeg, cinnamon and liquorice root plus cucumber essence post distillation.

In 1999 Martin Miller had the mad idea to produce a genius gin by separately distilling citrus and earthy botanicals and blending to strength with the purest Icelandic water.

It is then blended with unpolluted, pure, Icelandic water which gives the gin a unique freshness, softness and clarity. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Wm Morrisons Supermarkets Limited prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement. The gin is then transported to Iceland to be blended with Icelandic spring water - the world's purest.

Now one of the world's most awarded gins, Martin Miller's Gin uses the finest botanicals sourced from around the world, traditional maceration techniques are used and it is then shipped to Iceland to be blended to strength using pure Icelandic spring water. The gin is distilled at Langley's distillery in the west midlands using traditional methods, with the help of the beloved copper pot still named "Angela". Being an avid traveller, Mr Miller sourced ingredients from all over the world to craft his perfect gin. The result, Martin Miller’s, transformed the world of gin and, after decades of recognition, continues to be discovered and treasured by new generations of gin drinkers while becoming one of the world’s most awarded gins.Once the distillation is over, slightly absurdly, the gin is then taken on a 3,000 mile round trip to Iceland to be blended with some of the world's purest water. In January 2018, Spanish drinks group Zamora Group Company purchased a majority stake in Martin Miller’s Gin. During the distillery process, the warm and vapour will make this botanical to release its oils that will apport citrus and floral notes into the spirit base.
