I just got your book and reading it reminded me of the thrill and taste of my parent’s homemade ice cream made in a hand cranked ice and rock salt machine on a hot Texas summer day. I got your book about 8 years ago and never looked back for another book on ice-creams and all goodies frozen!

I purchased an Ice Cream Maker a week ago, and wanted a recipe book to go with it, and the reviews online assured me this was the one – they weren’t wrong!From there, they expand into a technicolor world of flavor, sharing classic and modern ingredient combinations, creative mix-ins, and extra-fancy toppings ideas. Rochelle Bilow is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, and the former social media manager at Bon Appétit and Cooking Light magazines. I feel like the recipes have interesting flavors without going over the top to try something different. The recipe section contains 150 recipes, such as Watermelon Granita, Lemon Sorbet, Gingered Semi-Freddo, Chunky Chocolate Ice Cream, Blackberry Ice Cream, Hot Ice Cream Fritters, Cranberry Sorbet in Lace Pancakes, Iced Mango Lassi and Iced Summer Pudding. The beautiful trees and running water make them forget their troubles–until they realize they’re lost!
