The marble pastry board gives the laminate top of our Ikea nightstand an added layer of durability while making it look and feel more expensive than it really is. The gold cup pull is like jewlery on the face of an otherwise plain piece of furniture while also serving as a functional element of our nightstand too. Using clamps, position and then secure the edge glued board to the top of the nightstand and allow to dry for 24-48 hours. Be sure not to over-tighten the clamps or you’ll risk damaging the wood. Just to be safe, we recommend placing a cloth over the edge-glued board, followed by a scrap piece of wood and then applying the clamps. Our bedrooms may be the rooms in our homes that are seen the least by others. But our bedrooms are our sanctuaries and our calming spaces. They need to be lovely and beautiful so that we can sleep easier, and enjoy just hanging out in them! The village is called "Vikhammer" because it was historically a Viking village. There is also a park in Vikhammer called "Vikhov park" which got its name because the Vikings had their houses in that area.

We ended up using Ana White’s Modern Farmhouse Bed Frame as our inspiration and simply altered it to make it a better fit for our room.I’ve owned my fair share of Ikea furniture over the years and while the pieces are extremely affordable and easily accessible, they aren’t typically pieces that provide a ton of longevity when it comes to wear and tear. Over the years we’ve upgraded most all of our Ikea furniture for pieces that are well made and will last for years to come but we still own two nightstands from Ikea. In comparison to our new bed frame though, the proportions of both night stands were way off and they didn’t match at all so we figured it was time to upgrade to something a bit more us.
