About this deal

The De’Longhi Primadonna S Evo looks amazing, it’s a big silver machine that surprisingly isn’t as big as we thought. There are several great features in this bean to cup coffee machine but we were delighted to see the Coffee Link app that helped in making coffee brewing more exciting. There are a lot of customization options available as well, you can adjust the milk quality, amount of coffee, the temperature, and the aroma levels. There are also 6 different user profiles available to fully customize your cup. This is especially useful if you have multiple people in your home with various tastes. The user experience is also top-notch on the De’Longhi Primadonna S Evo with a clear and easy to read display. Overall, I’m giving the Lelit Bianca V3 Dual Boiler a perfect 10/10. It’s the crème de la crème of espresso machines, and worth every penny if you’re able to splash the cash. 4. DeLonghi Dedica This is very handy and tidy. You don’t need to faff around with extra carafes or containers and move them around under a nozzle for 30 seconds until you have foam. Once you have finished, re-attach both ends of the tube to the steaming wand. The machine cleans automatically as it starts up and shuts down.

A double cup mode allows you to make two cups of coffee at the same time, or twice the amount of coffee in one cup if you require a longer drink. The coffee outlet is height-adjustable (up to 135mm) allowing the use of larger mugs or glasses. Dimensions 46.7 x 25.9 x 37.2 cm, capacity 1.8 liters, weighs 10.4 Kg, wattage 1450 watts, made with stainless steel and plastic.

Milk Frothing Ability : If you love a latte or cappuccino ( and who doesn’t? ) your espresso machine should also have the ability to froth milk to the perfect consistency. No froth, no latte. Creating milky coffees is straightforward and frothing the milk requires connecting a tube to the bottle of milk and just placing your cup under the steam wand. Although not as convenient as a one touch milk system, it’s still easy to use and thankfully quiet compared to some machines which sound like an aircraft taking off every time you try to froth milk! It’s also hygienic as the machine can automatically clean the steam wand once the frothing process is complete. The froth itself is good but I found it doesn’t get as frothy or silky as higher-end machines tend to. But at the end of the day, it’s frothed milk!

Short answer, yes. More expensive espresso machines tend to offer better quality, durability, and features compared to budget options. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that a more expensive machine will produce better espresso than a cheaper one. It ultimately comes down to personal preference, experience, and skill in using the machine. Ensure that the bean container is sufficiently filled with coffee beans. If the "coffee bean" indicator is blinking, fill the bean container. Dimensions 45.5 x 20 x 35.3 cm, capacity is 1.5 liters, weight is 9.4 Kg, power is 1450 W, made with stainless steel, 5 different grinder settings. Perhaps one of the nicest things about the Avanza is its interface, which is controlled by a panel featuring two knobs and four buttons across the top of the machine. Calling all budget-conscious caffeine lovers, I’ve found your match made in heaven: the DeLonghi Dedica . This machine won’t break the bank, but it will make a mean coffee.

Next to the pour buttons you’ll find another opportunity to tailor your espresso exactly how you like it, this time in the strength of the coffee itself. 3 beans for a more caffeinated serving and one for a slightly weaker one. We used this feature often for our post 2pm cups to balance our caffience intake (or at least attempt to)

At the touch of the buttons on the panel you can make espresso, café crème, latte macchiato and cappuccino. You can also set the strength of your coffee by using one of the buttons on the machine and is a great feature if you want to easily switch between mild or intense coffees at the touch of a button. The Avanza Series 600 F270-100 is a simple and elegant machine that offers great value for money. Its compact width (just 20cm) is a big draw. So too is the excellent value for money its modest price tag offers.

Automatic cleaning and descaling program

The knobs and buttons approach is great. It is very tactile and highly intuitive. Technophobic octogenarians would be able to get the hang of it without looking in the instruction manual.

The machine comes with a 1.5 litre water tank (that’s enough for 7 long coffees) and has the capacity to make two drinks at once thanks to its two centrally positioned spouts. Dimensions 40.59 x 35.39 x 40.49 cm, capacity is 2 liters, made with stainless steel, dishwasher safe parts, wattage is 1680w. General day-to-day maintenance is taken care of automatically, with the Melitta Avanza Series 600 rinsing on start-up and shut-down. That helps keep everything clean and maintains the flavour of your drinks. The small, compact and quiet bean-to-cup machine delivers a mean Espresso but could do better on coffee versatility. I’m giving it a solid 9 out of 10. It’s a top-of-the-line machine that’s perfect for serious espresso enthusiasts who demand the best.Of course, no machine is perfect, and the Melitta Avanza Series 600 does have a few minor flaws. For one, I found it a bit noisy, so if you’re looking for a machine that can operate in stealth mode, this may not be the one for you. Additionally, the frother isn’t the best, so you may want to consider purchasing a separate frother if you’re a latte or cappuccino lover. The first thing to notice about the Melitta Avanza is its size. This unit is tiny, measuring 32 centimetres high, 20 centimetres across and 45 centimetres deep. Its dimensions make it much slimmer than other best-selling compact bean-to-cup machines. This is great for people who have limited kitchen space available. For those coffee drinkers who like milkier drinks, you can use the inbuilt Cappucinatore. As the name suggests its mainly used for cappuccino’s as the steamed milk will be frothier than your thinner steamed milk needed for lattes or flat whites. The Cappucinatore also acts as a hot water dispenser if you’re in need for an instant Americano. No need for a kettle.
