Bridget is my favorite from the friend group I think. And I definitely liked this book wayyyy more than i liked the first one, twisted love. Josh Chen has never met a woman he couldn't charm - except for Jules Ambrose. He proposes a solution that'll get her out of his system once and for all: an enemies-with-benefits arrangement with simple rules. No jealousy. No strings attached. And absolutely no falling in love. Twisted Lies was alright. The story of Stella and Christian was hard to follow. The ending of this story is not like the other three, and that's how I personally feel. i felt every single emotion reading this book, but i mostly sad bcz of rhys and bridgets past. did i mention that its heartbreaking? bcz it is. The way the forbidden love trope was mixed with the bodyguard x princess trope made it even better!!! The vibes and settings in this book were absolutely immaculate!! From gorgeous Costa Rica to a stunning castle ugh I LOVE IT!!! I honestly need more books like that with that sort of setting, it’s just so… romantic!!!

I personally feel that Alex was sometimes a bit too pushy. However, I love how all the couples in each book are different. Alex and Ava's story is complicated and was hard to follow at first. But the ending of the book was possibly the best ending of the series. Also, Bridget’s brother Nikolai is a selfish POS. The way he just put everything on Bridget’s shoulders was so shitty. I can’t believe Bridget wasn’t angry as hell that her entire life was uprooted because Nikolai wanted to think about himself 🙄Day by day, inch by inch, she breaks down his defenses until he's faced with a truth he can no longer deny: he swore an oath to protect her, but all he wants is to ruin her. Take her.

The first book of the Twisted Series is called Twisted Love. It follows the story of Ava Chen and Alex Volkov. When Ava’s brother decides to live town, he asks his best friend, Alex to keep an eye out of Ava. Is Twisted Love Spicy? all the secret glances and soft touches i was expecting? non existent to be honest. i think part of it also has to do with the slow burn i didn't feel. i would have thought they had their first kiss around, at least, 60% or so, with everything before being full of stolen glances, touches, and moments between them. Making. your. characters. 34 (or giving them any adult age idc). and. having. them. participate. in. explicit. sexual. activities. doesn't. convince. me. they're. adults!!! I can't stress this enough. Chef’s kiss, i hope you guys enjoy this when you get to it! Rhys and Bridget are AMAZING. Obsessed! I wish there was more variety (?) when it comes to the personalities of the guys. Everyone except for Josh (and Rhys sometimes) was a “tough and broody” guy. They were all really dominant and possessive (personally i don’t like possessive guys,but if that rows your boat, this is a good series for that). I do wish one of guys weren’t dominant just so it was something different, but even then, the books were enjoyable.

Twisted Series

First of all, this book has one of my favourite (but also one of the most painful) tropes of all time in it: Forbidden love!!!

and the suspense element was also much better in the first book because there was actually some action. the suspense (can we even call it that?) in this was so badly done compared to the first book. i think i appreciate ava and alex's story more in that aspect because we actually see it unfold and, like i said, there was actually some action. not only that, but right from the beginning, we're thrown into this "suspenseful" act so we go through the book wondering what's happening (even if you know what it was). with this, there was none of it for me.

Toys

A self-professed travel enthusiast, she loves incorporating beautiful destinations into her stories and will never say no to a good chai latte. Mediocre chemistry, and too much was going in the story, and it all overshadowed this couple's love story. Ana Huang also didn't deliver well on them from beginning to end.)
