I specify, "no visible" build-up, however, if I have to touch my hair (i.e., to retie/restyle my top-knot, adjust bobbypin placement, etc.), the oil coats my hands pretty significantly. It's not the end of the world, but it does make for a slightly uncomfortable sensation.
