Engineer [Ascot Sound Studos] – Eddie Beer, Eddie Klein, Eddie Veal, Eddie Offor*, Philip McDonald* Shortly after the release of Imagine, a Los Angeles radio personality listened to it and began playing the title song on his programme. Elliot Mintz was a fixture in broadcasting at the time and had attracted a loyal following of listeners, who appreciated his in-depth interviews with many of the cultural icons of the times. Elliot conducted his first interview with John on 10 October 1971, the day after Lennon’s 31st birthday. Their conversation led to a friendship that would continue throughout the rest of John’s life. Elliot remains close to Yoko and Sean.
