About this deal

Because Fleming never explicitly said when James Bond was born, Ian Fleming Publications and Charlie Higson chose the year 1920 as his birth year. SilverFin takes place in 1933. Fleming: "The scent and smoke and sweat of a casino are nauseating at three in the morning" Higson: "The smell and noise and confusion of a hallway full of schoolboys can be quite awful at twenty past seven in the morning." Silverfin is a young adult spy novel by Charlie Higson based on Ian Fleming's famous character James Bond. The book, which follows James Bond as a teenager in the 1930s, inspired a series of graphic novel adaptations, video games, and a travel guide. Silverfin, the first book in the series, is followed by Blood Fever, Double or Die, Hurricane Gold, and By Royal Command. There are also two supplementary books: a travel guide, The Young Bond Rough Guide to London, and Danger Society: The Young Bond Dossier, essentially a guidebook to the world of Young Bond.

One thing about this category, is that it's interesting to view the perspective of the illustrator, how they saw the image of the book in their mind, although I can't mark them down if the tree I imagined had brown leaves instead of dark green leaves, as I have not read the actual book. Bond's Aunt Charmian drives an identical Bentley to one Bond drives in Casino Royale and in subsequent books. Bond also inherits his uncle's 1.5 liter Bamford & Martin Sidevalve Short Chassis Tourer. Bamford & Martin later became Aston Martin. o APA citation: Higgson, H. & Walker, K. (2008). Silverfin: A James Bond adventure. New York, NY: Hyperion Books. Something new I learnt from this book is NEVER be a spy just like the quote, because if you do, you will probably, get Eel serum injected to your body, have a narrow escape from flesh peeling eels, nearly get shot in the face by a double barrel shotgun, and experience a narrow escape from a purple eyed beast who ( SPOILER ALERT SO DON"T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU, OK?! ) kills the evil possessed madman.

About Charlie Higson

Charlie Higson is a well-known writer of screenplays and novels, including the phenomenally successful Young Bond series. He is also a performer and co-creator of 'The Fast Show' and Radio Four's award-winning 'Down the Line' series - recently made into a popular BBC2 sketch show, 'Bellamy's People'. Charlie is a big fan of horror films and is now hoping to give a great many children sleepless nights with his The Enemy series. SilverFin is the first novel in the Young Bond series that depicts Ian Fleming's superspy James Bond as a teenager in the 1930s. It was written by Charlie Higson and released in the United Kingdom on March 3, 2005 by Puffin Books in conjunction with a large marketing campaign; a Canadian release of the same edition occurred in late March. The United States edition, which was slightly edited for content, was released on April 27, 2005 by Miramax Books. Silverfin is the first of 9 books in the Young Bond graphic novel series. Bond's parents are dead due to an accident during while exploring. His aunt and uncle (a former spy) have sent Bond to the super-elite boarding school Eton College (ages 13-18) which has long been known as a school for multiple royal families and future military and political leaders. That said Higson did write some excellent books and his last one actually featured james Bond 007 in a albeit short chapter.

(hehe jadi curhat) Lord Hellebore arrives at Eton to fund and stage a three-part athletic tournament, which he intends his son, George, to win. The competition has three heats: swimming, running, and shooting. Lord Hellebore helps George cheat in various events, particularly the foot race, where he plans shortcuts for his son. James, noticing that George has an alternate route, follows him, using his speed to overtake him and win the race. George tries to trip James but fails. Ultimately, Andrew Carlton, another student is the winner of the tournament, which deeply disappoints Lord Hellebore.
