I love Marissa Meyer, but I was just here for the sweet rescue animals and Quint and his mom working to help them. We do get to see her change a bit throughout the story, and I think the author did a good job at making her transition from pesky brat to palpable human being, but she was still adamant on being selfish and unlikable.
