About this deal

Perfectly perfunctory as a modern slasher film, horribly disappointing by the high standards set by this particular franchise.

At time of writing, there is no sign of the other three films (' Scream 2,' ' Scream 3,' ' Scre4m') on UHD. We will introduce you exclusively to Newpay finance products provided by NewDay Limited under this Introducer Appointed Representative arrangement.

These are the TVs that will get you the absolute best picture quality, though it's worth noting there's a lot of overlap in our choices between the two lists.

The six Scream franchise films are almost all available in 4k now with the exception of Scream 4 (2011) still needing a remaster. The beautiful steelbook is beautiful and has gone into the collection with the other scream steelbooks. The story, based around the production of a Stab sequel (the in-franchise franchise) and how it all ties back round to permanent Ghostface survivor Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now allows a deep dive into the making of scary movies and not just with the easy lampooning of the tropes and iconography of the genre – cleverly bringing it back round to Sidney’s mother and the plight of so many who enter the Hollywood machine and leave it changed forever, it brings new meaning to the term ‘ it was all the movies’ fault’ whilst delivering the most satisfying reveal of Ghostface of all the Scream films, including the later entries. Then there's the fact that our attention is suddenly turned to the quirky romance of Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox). While Sidney Prescott lives in safely guarded seclusion, bodies begins dropping around the Hollywood set of Stab 3, the latest movie sequel based on the gruesome Woodsboro killings. And Paramount rounds out its trilogy rerelease in 4K by continuing the excellent work of the first two film’s UHD release. The previous Blu-ray release was somewhat of a disappointment, hindered largely by some unsightly artifacts and mostly looking flat in general. Deleted Scenes (SD, 14 min) — With an optional commentary by Craven, Maddelena and Lussier, the collection is mildly interesting but adds little value to the movie. The previous blu-ray suffered in all the same ways as the first two film’s discs did – horribly digital looking, chunky and smeary grain, strangely plasticky colours…it wasn't a pretty image.

The laughs and smarts are still there, but it all adds up to a silly conclusion that takes fans to a deep, dark past.Paramount Home Media Distribution will release a Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray of Wes Craven's Scream 3 (2000), starring David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Patrick Dempsey, and Scott Foley. Lines are razor sharp and fine detail from faces through to clothing textures and the sharp lines of medium to long shots to help pick out all that loving homage in the set dressing and locations is top notch. For more about Scream 2 4K and the Scream 2 4K Blu-ray release, see Scream 2 4K Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on October 1, 2022 where this Blu-ray release scored 4.
